Creative Embellishments - January Challenge - Turn Back Time Card
I just found some creative energy to enter a challenge at the last minute that has had me stumped for weeks. Here is my entry to the Creative Embellishment Challenge for January called Turn Back Time. I was inspired by the spirals, time, & blue/gold. I've also submitted this card to More Than Words January Mini Challenge. The Mini Challenge runs on the last week of each month and is for cards, tags and ATCs only. This challenge requires you to use a specific word on your project. This month the word is "one."
I began creating the background with a spiral text stamp that has a
quote involving time which seemed very appropriate for this challenge.
Then I heat set with clear embossing powder and applied Gelatos over it which
created a resist affect. I stamped the clocks onto transparency and
attached them with brads. Finally, I added a small embellishment cluster. A Closer Look:
Supplies: Birds Clocks Rubber Stamp Set (Sin City Stamps), Versamark Watermark Ink Pad (Tsukineko), clear embossing powder (Stampendous), Heat Gun (Ranger), Archival Jet Black Ink Pad (Ranger), Stazon Black Ink Pad (Tsukineko), ink blending tool, metal flower, decorative hat pin, key, ticket, gold brads
To be eligible for the $50 gift voucher prize, you have until the last
day of January (11:55 pm eastern time) to enter. Gather inspiration
from the picture below and be sure to somehow include numbers. Create a
new project - layout, mini album, tag, card, canvas and then add your
entry to the InLinkz box on their blog. It is required that you mention in your blog post that you are playing
along at Creative Embellishments together with a link back to their blog.
